Our History
Welcome to the history of the McElroy Family Farm, Our farm shop is located in the heart of Slieve Gullion, a beautiful rural area in the south of County Armagh. The farm has been in our family for over 200 years, and we take great pride in our heritage and the rich history of the land.
Our farm was originally used for cattle farming, and over time we expanded our operations to include beef, pork, and poultry. We have always been committed to sustainable farming practices, and our animals are raised without the use of antibiotics or hormones.
In the early 2020s, we decided to open our farm shop as a way to share our products with the local community and visitors to the area. Our farm shop quickly became popular for our high-quality, locally sourced meat products, and we began to expand our offerings to include other locally sourced produce, such as honey, eggs, and vegetables. (Still under-development)
Today, our farm shop has become a beloved destination for visitors to Slieve Gullion. We continue to be committed to sustainable farming practices and to supporting the local community by sourcing our products from other local farmers and producers. We take pride in the quality of our products and in sharing the rich history of our farm with all who visit.

Our Team
Welcome to Fairy Bush Farm, where we believe in growing fresh and wholesome produce that’s good for both you and the planet. Our farm is run by two passionate individuals, David and Liz McElroy.
David is a farmer at heart, and his love for agriculture started at a young age. He grew up on a small farm in the countryside and has been working the land ever since. David has a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to organic farming, and he’s always happy to share his tips and tricks with anyone who’s interested.
Liz is the creative force behind Fairy Bush Farm always experimenting with new recipes and ingredients. Liz is passionate about using fresh, seasonal produce in her cooking, and she loves nothing more than showcasing the bounty of the farm in her dishes.
Together, David and Liz make a dynamic team, and they’re committed to sustainable farming practices that are good for both the environment and the local community. They’re also passionate about educating others about the importance of eating fresh, healthy food that’s free from harmful chemicals.
